Connecting to the VPN

In order to connect to White Oak's Virtual Private Network (VPN) from your company-issued Microsoft Surface, take the following steps:

  1. In the lower-right corner of your computer's desktop, find the Network & Internet Settings icon, indicated by the arrow below.  Click on the icon.
  2. The Network & Internet Settings context dialog will appear, with the Corporate VPN pinned to the top,   Click on the Corporate VPN portion of the dialog, then click on the "Connect" button that will appear:
  3. After a few seconds your computer will complete the secure connection to our company network.  When that is done you will see the status "Connected" appear under the Corporate VPN heading as shown:
